Post W/Engine out for oil leak, what else to to do ??

I've got a very small oil leak that will require the R & I of the engine to fix. While it's out, what other preventative or upgrades might I want to consider?

Many thanks,

Grant

Wow Grant - is that a loaded question or what. The obvious thing is to have the spark plugs replaced if that service is due soon. With the engine in the car, it can take several hours to do this. I would imaguine it would take 15 minutes with the engine out.

As for upgrades, do you really want to go down that slope. If so, then new larger turbos would be in order, along with .5 bar fuel pressure regulators. Of course this would require a new or remapped ECU, etc., etc.

Bill,

New plugs sounds like a good one. What about an up-rated clutch or ??

Larger turbos and requisite accessories are probably waaaay off, if ever, as much fun as that'd be.

Yep - if you need a new clutch now would be a good time as well. Most of the labor for that project is dropping the engine.
