Hal: In 1996 ("T" Program (or model year), as it is called) there were 3,841 tt's made. ROW = 2,484 and US/Canada was 1,357.

In 1997 ("V" Program (or model year), as it was called) there were only 2,018 tt's made (not including the Turbo S). ROW = 972 and US/Canada 1,046.

This info is found in Patrick Paternie's "Red Book".

So 2400 total made it to the U.S. - I wonder how many are left?

....and Bill, of the remaining cars, how many are in near original condition, as they were shipped from Stuttgart. (Not prepped for heavy track use, heavily modded engines etc- simple mods excluded).

Not that there is ANYTHING wrong with mods...I wish I could afford all of the goodies!

The nice thing about 993TTs is that the mods necessary to get to 500HP require no internal engine changes and can easily be undone. That way in 30 years when the 993TT reaches the status of the legendary 1973RS we can go back to stock in order to get that great collector car premium

Bill,

I think you should restore your car to original stock condition and then let me have the 500hp goodies for safe keeping.

Eric.

I have to wait 30 years??? Good, more time to enjoy without the worries of driving a 'classic'!

Eric-
Any update on the:
-turbo S brake duct
- lights with euro side marker lens.

And, are you still considering PSS-9

Send me

My 96TT is totally stock..Somehow,even after hanging at this forum for a while I have resisted the urge to add mods..however..the suspension mod will probably happen this year.Yes..I'm weak..
