vrus;

I'm curious about your compressor wheel size. Do you have the dimensions?

Sorry I don't have the physical specs. The only thing I know is that they are the FVD K24 Race version turbos. They have ceramic impellers, ball bearings, and ported and polished housings. I am sure FVD can provide you with the specs. They are just over twice the cost of a standard K24 turbo.

My tuner did tell me that there were some modifications to the turbos so I am not quite sure what the end result was.

Sorry I cant be of any more help.

VRUS,
How high is you boost when you have 600HP and is that to the wheels? At what HP do you loose reliablity with the AWD? Nice car!

The package I am running is rated at approx 600hp at the crank. It is tuned at 1.1BAR of boost. The car has been running with this package for 2 years now with no issues.

My tuner/friend has 858RWHP on his 993 TT and his AWD is just fine. I am not sure how much torture our drivetrain can take, but these parts are built from the factory to handle quite a bit of abuse. Leave it to Porsche to engineer a rock-solid car.

I've driven/owned just about everything under the sun and nothing compares to the Porsches for all around car.

We are currently selling full race GT2 turbos for $2700 each with limited quantities available. These are not 'hybrid' units. I caution those simply using fuel pressure to 're-map' the fuel curve with higher boost and larger turbos. This method can be some what diabolical if not carefully checked on a dyno. We prefer to install an ECU Mapper which alters the entire fuel and timing curves to get the most out of the increased boost and higher efficiency of the larger turbos in conjunction with higher fuel pressure and in some cases larger injectors. If the boost is going to 1.2BAR or higher an efficient intercooler is required. There are many good units for sale and only a couple of great ones. Our unit is superior to the standard fare units found in the catalogs and is comparable in price at $2500. Further at the higher boost levels, even the updated intercooler hoses will fail, requiring hard pipes like the ones we make in stainless steel which will have held up well on race applications up to 1.7 BAR. Good luck!

P.S. Hope this wasn't to spammy!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you!! The Hard Pipes are $650 a set which includes both pipes in stainless steel made with equal radius bends and cut with special teeth to allow the pure silicone 4-ply hose couplers a way to grip the pipe better. We polish the pipes and include the clamps and hose couplers as well. Also we just dropped the price on our modified GT2 turbo kits down to $4995!!
