I just wish I wasn't in the middle of the loan process right now- I'd trade my 993 and finance the difference but I don't want my credit score to be messed up while I'm in escrow or something. that's the problem with only being 25 and not having a 15 year credit history i guess...

I noticed this car a while back myself, now I know that you're only 25 and trying to figure out how to finance it, I might have to swoop in and buy it on principle alone! I could park them tail to tail and it would be like bookends in my garage!! So you've driven it.... Do you mind sharing your experiences with the group?

well DM, here is what I wrote the morning after I drove it-
'i've been staring at the ceiling for an hour, so i decided to get up and share an experience with you guys. let me start with this- I am going crazy for a 993TT.
Not a revelation. it's our common denominator. Well today I get behind the wheel of a completed project car, one of those really usable, someone poured all their mortgage payments into it, one of those "I could live with this, no...i need this right now " kind of cars.
I don't want to jinx it, but I'll say it's got a legit 550+ hp. can't have some rich rennlister swooping on it, so no description yet.
It's a touch more expensive than i was prepared to pay- but like you guys say- it's way cheaper to buy one that's finished rather than one that's just getting started. Mileage is a bit high for my preferences (over 50k), but the condition is top notch, and there is nothing left to do besides get a 3 spoke steering wheel. If I don't buy it, one of you guys will. I'm the first person to see it or drive it. So out of fear, joy and idiocy, i tell the guy it's basically a done deal -gimme the weekend to sort out the cash factor.'
the car is blisteringly fast from any rpm. I wanted to see if it was boggy and laggy , so i threw it in third gear at about 18 mph and 1200 rpms, and it can still rocket from there. thats the benefit of the extra torque. the car is more compliant than my 993S with mo30 suspension and RS sway bars. phenomenal brakes. I was somewhere between astonished and "well what did you expect from andial, they're amazing"
not to be 6 years old, but i did see it first! haha. just promise me you'll take me for a ride once in a while if you get it.

If the upgrades were done in the last 25k miles, thats not a bad price. Or... take the best 993tt you can find, say $75k and do the 3.8 twin plug conversion $50-55k= $125-$130K. The performace level on the 3.8 is really staggering. For a street legal car, I can leave many racecars on slicks for dead.
I can't tell you how many times guys have come up to check Blackie out after a session to find out its a street car. The reaction is the same, they are sick (ill).

993tt Andial 3.8 twin plug.
A bunch of AMG's

looked at it again today when I took in the 993S for the good old hit a pothole and exploding glovebox combination. some other guy was looking at it when i was leaving, of course I heard him say it was way too expensive for him...temptation...I'll probably buy it.
