Great video and track data.
how much faster do you think a stock GT3 is versus a 993tt? Assume the 993 does not have turbo work, but has pss-9, and both cars are running similar tires.
I would have thought a GT3 should be alot faster given the weight and the updated geometry.

Rob it really depends on the track. I raced a complete year against well-prepped GT3's with my TT with revalved PSS9's, wide BBS's w/MPSC's, and a mostly stock motor. I found that on shorter tracks with lots of short turns like Buttonwillow the GT3's would be 1-2 seconds quicker per lap. Conversly, on the longer, more high-speed tracks like Cal Speedway or Las Vegas Motor Speedway I would be 1-2 seconds faster than them. Carrying 300+lbs. of more weight definitely made a difference, but the torque and Top end of the TT leveled the field on the longer straights or banked ovals....

Sorry man, but the winter project has already been decided: Having the Lotus Elise engine built to over 250HP (from 190); not bad in a 1900lbs car .
