Default How often do you have to balance the front wheels??

Is it just me?

Its the third time this summer. 993s seems very sensitives. I had to do the same on my previous 993 Carrera. Is it just the down side for having a great steering feedback? Is it that the machine used to do the balancing is not precise enough?

Hmmmm.... maybe its different wheels, tires, and weight placement? I had new tires mounted on Rufus a year ago, (6000 miles) and they are still perfectly in balance.

I have not had any problems maintaining balance, either. What kind of tires? I see you have only 28k miles: How long does the car sit between drives? Some tires are more prone than others to flatspotting if the car sits on a cold garage floor for a few weeks; this can feel like an out-of-balance wheel, but usually it goes away after a few miles.

balance should maintain itself, unless super sticky track type tires where the chunks of rubber
fly off and land inside the wheel. make sure inside of wheels are clean and that the lead
wheel weights are staying on! Many places use duct tape or that shiny (lighter) racing tape
over the weights so that they cannot come off.

Thanks guys. Good leads. I'm using the car 1-2 times a week only now and you might be right about the flat spotting... (Yokos A048 with lower air pressure...) My last ride was a short one. The tires may not had time to generate enough heat to resume to normal and... ...It is getting damn cold already up here!!!!
Cheers
