Nice! You basically have the SpeedYellow version of my Black TT. I think the 996TT wheels look great on the 993.

I just bought a set of those for my car too. Couldn't justify $4K for a new set of originals, couldn't find a straight set of used and didn't like any of the aftermarket wheels.

I LOVE your Tach! Where did you get the gage? Is the redline correct for Turbo’s? Where did you have the install done?

I called FVD as well as VDO an neither was any help. They told me it was impossible to recalibrate the Tach if it had the computer in it.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GEMBALLA-YELLOW-INSTRUMENT-FACE-GAGES-PORSCHE-993_W0QQitemZ170031266722QQihZ007QQcategoryZ46093QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Face plates are Gemballa Germany heres a like from ebay ( I have no $ tword this seller) A little pricey. The Tack needle had to be moved other that that a simple install. I guess the hardest part was the steering wheel had to be droped down to get to the Speedometer. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GEMBA...QQcmdZViewItem

It looks like the Gemballa stuff is for a NA car. Turbo's have a lower redline. FVD sell the proper gages (according to their web site) but the sales people were unable to verify the redline for those gages. They wouldn't even walk back and grab one off the shelf!

I thought it was a simple matter of realigning the Tach needle but others say no, that the Tach must be recalibrated. I don't understand why these things need to be so hard!

If you call the Gemballa guy , he is in the L.A. area , he has both the N.A. and Turbo face plates. I had bought a few things from him so he went down on his buy now price.
