Default Yokos A048

Hi folks,

I just installed 4 new A048 on my car. I have a DE weekend in two weeks and want to be ready

This will be my first real DE with this new car (to me) and I dont have any experience with it regarding tire setup.

Does anybody runs these tires on their car?

Thnaks for the input!!

Sounds like you are going to Tremblant. Never had Yoks, but my buddy who does lots of DE tries to run 40 all around when warm.

I've run all my R compound tires 30 front and 35 rear cold pressure at the track.

i have them on my 996 C2 used for track and commute to the track. Run them 30-32 cold and they should heat up to 38-40 hot nicely. I spoke with the Yoko techs and they recommend running about 32-36 hot, but personally, i like they way they feel at 40 hot and they last longer too. 32-36 hot for me felt a little squirrly, but i have been told that's when they produce the most grip. In short, 32 cold and after a few laps, come on in and check and they should be between 36-40 hot and you can then fine tune from there. Easier to deflate then inflate in the pits.

i have used them on a couple of de's at sebring. start them out low, around 30 rear and 32 front and see how much pressure you build. once you feel comfortable with the end of session result you may want to go even lower to start. i found they worked best in the mid 30's hot, possibly even lower. for me they became a bit greasy in the 38+ range hot.

I found they like VERY low tire Pressures on my narrow body 993 (I run 28 hot!)
