Does anyone know this 1997 993tt at RUF?
It's in my backyard... a dangerous thing. I am thinking of going to look at it tomorrow. The price seems right if it is in great condition. My only concern is that when I emailed for history, records, detailed info, it didnt sound like they had much on the car, other than it came from California. With Rennlist, you never know...there is many times someone that knows someone that knows something, etc....anyone know this car (?)

IF i end up doing it, i want to do it right...
i want a car that i know everything about...owner history, service history, mechanicals, paint/body, etc. what worries me about this is that the history seems to be a little bit of a black hole... $70k is a lot to spend on a 9yr old used car unless REALLY sure of condition... IMHO.

Jonathan,
I don't know the car, but it was one I was looking at before I purchased my guard's red car. Spoke to the owner once and it looked like a good car. Know the guys at ruf were going to do a thorough check of it before taking delivery. I really wanted a guards red car and the one I bought was local so I went for it and passed on this one. Only potential negative I got from my one conversation was that it has seen track time. Looks like a gorgeous car!

FYI,
The description says Polar silver, but as far as I know, the silver in 97 was Arctic Silver - I happen to know because I really like polar, but I have an arctic silver 97. So this may be a)typo, b) special order color or c) repaint
Doesn't kill the car, just since you want to know everything, you might want to look into this.

Jonathan... good luck! The car looks familiar but I am not aware of the sales of the car from the owner that I'm thinking of... So let me PM him and find out.
