Waiting for a hydraulic line to be shipped from Germany to finish up. This is a fun job that includes grinding down an 18 dollar 13mm wrench to make a special tool to get to that bottom mounting nut

I'd buy one of those posters! No fridge, but he's got the cellulite queen.

Marc,

Now that you have the tool, I'll keep you in mind for a road trip to Alaska so you can fix mine (if it ever fails). I'm getting a lot of laughs from this thread. You are a brave soul.

Steve: I do not recommend road tripping from CA to AK...if you breakdown on the ALCAN hwy and get stuck in Gulkana...good luck find parts, let alone a metric tool (and practice how to squeal like a pig).

911/Q45: The camera adds 10 lbs

Wasner: I moved here from Hawaii and still in denial.

Can you move to the right; I can't see the cinder blocks?

BTW- I like your license plate.

I can see the jackstand, he's scraping the hair off his head on it.

It's on four 6 ton jackstands...the jack is just backup for the rear and I have the wheels under the front of the car.........I am an idiot when it comes to mechanic work (and other things)...but I am no fool about safety....

Marc,
I'm totally with you about this.
I HATE getting under the car! Adding extra wheels and jackstands is a good insurance but I still get creepy feelings.

I had mine up on Jack stands and a secure floor jack this winter to remove and replace the mufflers. Should have taken a pic. I like your license plate....just like mine as a matter of fact 993-T!

I'm curious as to the concrete floor temps in Alaska. I can see the wall mounted heater to the left and I'm sure that helps some, but how cold is that floor this time of year?
