Help with 993 Turbo S question
#16
He was asking 120K I think.
For a point of reference I sold my silver 993 turbo S with 450 miles in a package of other cars to a dealer for 130K he then sold it to a guy back East for 170K who learned that the car had evidently been damaged by the dealer somehow in that the drivers side door and left rear quarter had been painted as well as the left rear wheel after I sold it and made the dealer buy it back. The dealer tried to resell it back to me but soon learned I was aware of the paint work. The dealer then re-sold it again for substantially less than 170K. The dealer tried to pin the paint work on me but unfortunately for the dealer I had paint guage readings from when I owned it and pictures of the car appear in the new Porsche book perfection by design absent any paint work.
I know of another low mile 97 S that sold for 165K and others in the 135K range they seem to be all over the map. I also owned a red 97 S with 3000 miles which sold for 120K. I regret selling both my 97 S cars and wish I still had them as real no story ones are hard to find. But I was in the middle of a muscle car buying frenzy and running out of warehouse space and sold several Porsche's as part of a package. Big mistake IMHO.

Les,
Thanks for the info, I hve considered selling mine but realized that I shouldn't I just love buying and selling Porsche's or any cars for that matter and I get caught up into the transaction. My twin is damn near perfect, and I love the color, I have all the records etc. window sticker and all. I don't get to drive them much, but when the lease is up on my 5 series I should be able to get an 05 997 for a song with under 5k miles and I will drive that daily, alot of the depreciation will be gone by then....
