993 C4 transmission on 964 C4 with 3.3 Turbo engine
Previous owner of my 964 C4 put 3.3 Turbo engine on it. Overall drive experience is great but only too often to shift gear. Is it good idea to put 993 C4 transmission on my car? Thanks.

I've driven another 964C4 with a 993tt engine in it and noticed the shorter gearing. Personally, I think the shorter gearing suits the engine better and it is not uncommon to have the 993 6speed regeared shorter since it has very long gears. I thought the gearing was similar to the short gearset in my 5spd 911 Turbo which worked extremely well. There is a difference between the 964 AWD and the 993 AWD system, however, you can interchange them between the two chassis.
