Anyone ever hear that water/alcohol injection is bad for the nickelsil cylinders?

Any references would be appreciated.

Steve from Dieters in downtown San Diego told me that water injection was bad for the 993T. I cannot remember exactly what he said.. I am wondering if anyone on this board has run water injection for any considerable time.

I just can't image why. Straight water should be fine. Water is a by product of gas burning anyway. I can't see why menthanol/water would be any worse?

The response on the 930 board from Steve @ Imagine Auto was "no" and that it worked great.

Hope more chime in on this one. As it will surely help with the crappy gas we get out here in SoCal.

Water and Methanol won't hurt if it is used in the correct proportions, eg. 50/50. I have used it for a long time now, no problems yet. ,cheers,Sonny.
