Default High pressure hoses

During my 15K check they found my high pressure hoses cracking. None leaking but they say they may split soon. We ordered two at over $200 each, waiting for them to come in. My question is they say it will be over $700 in labor to install ! This is an independent shop here in Reno , very good at what they do but does it take that much time to install. I wish I could do it my self but that would be over my head. Thanks for any input.......

A competent wrench shouldn't take more than an hour to do that job.

Do you have to remove the mufflers or something to get at the lower clamps? If not, maybe they meant $700 for parts and labor. I just took my intercooler off, which is half of your project, and it took about 10 minutes.

Thanks for the replys...... Found a shop that can do it in less than 2 hours so should be less than $160 . The other shop said they need to remove muffler so the 4 to 5 hour charge. The price $700 was labor only!

Removing the mufflers takes all of 10 minutes per side...if that. Sounds like you should avoid the other shop altogether.

I've replaced both sides on my car-muffler removal is not required and I can't imagine how they justify $700 for removing and reinstalling the I/C and connecting the hoses down at the turbo's. Find another shop or do it yourself!!
