Default IA water injection

Read a very old thread that Imagine Auto was developing a water injection system for 996TT...anyone know if they ever did and if it works with 993TT and more importantly has anyone used it?

I sent an email to IA a few days ago and never heard back...I probablly will as soon as I post this!

But, I'd guess this is probably the best place to go for info anyway...

Thanks,

I have the aquamist 2d system. I will post results after install. This system will really help when using pump fuel.

K24...can you give a brief explanation on how it works?....is it triggered by boost pressure or how? Also, where did you put the water tank? Any pics or other info would be great. Finally where are you tapping into the induction system?...I'm assumming after the intercooler.

Many thanks

It was developed for the 930 and worked but never took off. The 996TT was the other in development and it never yielded any gains.

I would suggest Aquamist in the UK. They were the base for the system and it works well. Get the unit based on the MAP and adjust it as needed. Any AIC will do the same thing. It is like controlling a fuel injector based on duty cycle.

Go to the Aquamist site, and enter their forum, there is good imformation there, also try Snow Performance, they got some affordable kits, they also have a good forum,I havebeen using water injection for a while now,in my opinion it is a well worth mod. Also take a look at the latest 996TT of 9ff in Germany, they blow everybody in a recent shootout, and guess what, they got a water injection set up,cheers,Sonny.

I've gone and done some research...and I can't belive more people aren't going in this direction, especially with the poor gas quality out there.
