You can add me to the new owner list. I now have a 96 993TT Polar Silver / Black with only 9150 miles in my garage.
I wasn't planning on buying such a low-mileage car, but it really does look brand new.
I had a very thorough PPI done at RMG . I've had other PPIs done in the past, and I'd have to say RMG did the best job I've seen. They really went over every inch of the car.
Compression was 145 across the board. Leakdown was 2,3,3,1,2,2. There were a few very minor maintenance items (needs new hood shocks, brakes bled), but otherwise no problems. They gave it a 9.9999 on their 1-10 rating scale
It has H&R coil-overs, some sports mufflers, and a clear bra. I also have a 97 ECU along with the original 96.
I have spent months trying to explain to myself and others why it made sense to sell my 993C4S and buy virtually an identical car with a stronger engine. I considered a 996TT, 996GT3 and even a 997S, and although those are all very nice cars and much newer, the 993s with all their quirks are still my favorites.
Unfortunately I'm on my way out of town, but I'll post some pictures next week when I'm back. I wish I was driving the TT instead of flying.

Can I ask where you found it, I look around quite a lot and a less than 10k mile car would have stuck out in my search. Congrats......

Thanks Bob. We definitely miss you in the Bay Area. I have some quick pics I took today that I'll upload.
Tom, I actually bought the car from a friend of a friend, and it was never publicly for sale. As you know, there aren't many low mile 993TTs out there, and I won't claim that I got any bargain price.
I've been scanning rennlist, autotrader, cars.com, PCA, ebay etc for months. There really aren't that many good 993TTs for sale. Most of the ones I looked at had accident or other questionable history that turned me off.
It's also interesting that 996TT and 993TT prices are getting pretty close, and there's a lot more 996TTs out there.

I have an idea Rob. When you take the car to the autocross, just tells the folks that you put on a rear spoiler from a turbo. Afterall, you had a black on black C4S (widebody with turbo nose) the last few years autocrossing. Maybe no on will notice, unless you are 4 seconds faster now...

Ok, now the delicate question, as someone who is searching hard for a private sale on the very car that you bought, meaning a supremely low mileage car, might I be sold bold as to ask you what you paid.
Thank you for the information

Ha. Hopefully they'd notice because my times have improved so much, but we'll see. Actually with PCA/GGR's new points system I think I can actually stay in the same class or at most move up 1. My TT is still pretty stock other than H&R shocks/springs.
