Hi,
Is there any way to tell if a 993TT still has its original engine?
I found these engine numbers in a European Porsche magazine:
Type M64/21 for manual ROW
Type M64/22 for tiptronic ROW
Type M64/23 for manual USA
Type M64/24 for tiptronic USA
Starting at 63T00001 for manual ROW
Starting at 63T50001 for tiptronic ROW
Starting at 64T00001 for manual USA
Starting at 64T50001 for tiptronic USA
Does these number look accurate to you?
Thanks in advance!
/Vic

Call 1800-PORSCHE and select customer commitment. If you give them the VIN number, they'll tell you lots of good information (like the option codes, paint codes, in service dates, warranty history...)
I can't recall if they have the engine number on there, but I suspect they do.
They won't decode the options for you, but p-car.com has all the necessary info.
