Is it just me, or do all these 993s and their very different wheels look great. Each one is fabulous. I can't imagine how someone can choose just one favorite. Like I've said before... I've never met a 993 I didn't like.
Of course, I'm partial to Rufus... don't want to hurt his feelings.

I've been thinking about doing wheels and keep vacillating between:
Black powder-coated stock or 996tt wheels (seeing the pic of Jim Morton's SY car with SY wheels cured me of the urge to do body-colored wheels w/ SY)
Ruf wheels
something like an iForged Aero or similar design
RH 3.6
it may take finding a screaming deal on one of these to get me off the fence

Steve, that moving shot of your RUF is gorgeous. I can still remember the way the Turbo R felt when I autocrossed the doctor's RUF in Vancouver. It is an amazing car and I don't think most people realize how special it is. You can get a 490hp kit from almost anywhere these days, but I'll bet money it doesn't drive anything like the RUF. The thing that struck me the most was how balanced everything was. The way it put power down, the way it handled, the braking ability, everything just felt right.
Quite often when I drive modified cars, I'm left with the impression that the factory balance has been thrown off. My own modified hillclimb car is a perfect example. I have 475hp, she'll run 12.0 @ 120mph all day and night, but try to stop the thing and you practically lose 2yrs of your life from the fear it induces as the tirewalls loom large. The hillclimb car is an Eagle Talon AWD, not a p-car. The goal for 2008 is to have a 993 Turbo hillclimb car. I just need to get the money together and find the right car to cage and race

FC,
Thanks for the comments and your observations. I have yet to put Rufus on a track, but I am sorely tempted. The Turbo R is just so darn SMOOTH. Hard to describe.

Four variations:
As Doug mentioned, SY wheels on SY had to go. Too B&B for my taste. 80's...
I am working on v5 with the TTS body pieces. Also, the yellow hollow spokes are FS, if anyone wants a cheap set to re-finish. Please PM me with any questions.
