Rob 977 993c2, GT2 is indeed based on the widebody car.
Red9, the yellow car is based on a standard n/body 993 RS and as you say appears to use the later Cup spec arches.
I believe there are companies FVD ? who supply arch and sill extentions for use on the widebody cars that blend far more seamlessly than the standard factory fit ones.

atgani, actually the FVD kit works better for a NB car to make it into a gt2. Im told most kits are very difficult to 'perfectly' fit on a WB car - especially at the intersection of the rocker with the front fender. I believe FVD supplied the oem kit to porsche.

Hi, this thread is getting interesting. I'm considering converting my 993TT to a GT2 as well but the entire front lower bumper has to be converted. I've contacted betterbodies who sells the kit including the flares, wings etc. Let's see how it goes.

NineEleven, the GT2 used a standard narrow body front bumper assembly no big issue The genuine splitters and center section aren't cheap but they ain't anything special

The yellow car is owned by a Dutch friend of mine. It's a narrowbody 993RS, fitted with GT2 bodykit by Techart and now has a circa 400bhp 3.9l motor in it - it practically lives at the 'ring.

I found that Bet***bod** have excellent prices for convertion parts VS CG or FVD, the difference is huge. Is the quality that cost or only the name of the dealer? Any experience with BBodies?

If starting with a narrow body, the betterbodies panels fit very well (flares and rockers ligned up with ZERO fitting/alteration). Suprising to say the least, considering the fitment of fiberglass pieces from other companies.

That is my personal experience with their product.
