Default Mille Miglia mufflers

Anyone have any experience of these and if so what do they best compare to in the sound stakes.

Alternatively anyone with RSR's fitted within a 100 miles of Oxford that I can listen too as I'm worried that they wont be loud enough as I was used to 964 with cat bypass.
Thanks G in search of sound improvements.

I bought a set when I was running minor mods, sport cats + Lotec ECU - they are physically smaller than stock. They came (from Aus) with a "no likey" return guarantee - which I discussed with them as it was the noise in particular I wanted to assess, they assured me they had no resonance, best noise etc.

I didn't get a chance to drive the car much over about 3 weeks (in and out of workshop etc) they seemed to have a resonance. My shop tried wrapping them in that foil heat retardent wrapping, but they still had an annoying resonance right about cruising speed ~3000rpm in top.

I contacted the manufacturer to send them back and they didn't want to know - said it had been 3 weeks (or whatever) and I owned them. After the sales pitch they had given me, I was pretty upset and got my money back via credit card.

Cargraphic, UK made by Phoenix are the ones I always recommend. I am on my 3rd set now - don't ask

Gordon, i suspect the ones you are considering buying are the actual ones that came off Toby's car... but that's just me putting 2 and 2 together.

Gordon,

I agree with TB993tt on most issues, but not on this one.
Sound quality is subjective.

I found my Millie Miglias to be perfect. I purchased them purely on their quality of note.

Yes, they do resonate when cold, ....at idle.
As soon as they warm up, they are the ideal vloume.
They NEVER resonate when driving.

Talk will get us no where, I have uploaded 2 .wav files for you
- standard mufflers
- Millie Miglias
****CLICKY****

cheers

Q, at the time of the mufflers, stock cams and 100 cell monolith cats of the period - They sounded fine, just the resonance, I must have had a bad set

No cams or lack of cats to contribute to noise....
Having a bad set sounds probable doesn't it.
Pity, they really are a nice product

Thanks Q , TB and Superyellowfly.
Could you say whether they are louder than RSR's, also what type of cats do you have with them as I'm completely std and just want more noise on the harmonic side so that I can hear the engine over the turbos

TB you didnt sell yours to Tech9 by any chance as your 3k resonance worries me

Thanks everyone

Its a long story (they were supposed to go back to OZ), but I think those are the ones I had at T9 - they may be OK with stock cats - worth a try
