Question Sunroof Deleted 993TT; who bought it?

Gentlemen,
I once saw a listing from a dealer about a Black/Black "Sunroof Deleted" 993TT ('97 I think) on AutoTrader and if-I-remember-correctly also on the eBay as well. I think the seller was Premier Motorsport or Willhoit; can't recall since they both sell high-$$$ low-mileage Porsche cars.

Now I can't find that car's listing anymore. So here are my questions;

1) Anyone on here knows who bought that car?
2) How rare are the sunroof deleted wide-body 993s?
3) Does <25-30K miles TTs worth more than $80K?
4) Does the VIN# specifies all the colors, options, and engine on pre-1999 Porsche cars?

Thank you,

There was a yellow TT that had the sunroof delete that was for sale both on this board as well as on eBay. I believe it was sold by Willhoit to begine with. It was bought by a guy who ended up selling it after owning it only for a short amount of time. I think he went back to Ferrari land. Not sure how long ago it was though. 6 months? I dont remember a black sunroof delete.

2) Very rare. I have only seen or heard of a few of them (right Don?)
3) Low $70s MAYBE if in great shape
4) No, there is an option tag in the car that contains all the option info

I've got one and have never seen another in the UK although I'm sure there probably are quite a few.

Apart from yours Alan, i've only ever seen one other. Silver LHD '97 with black leather sports seats, 92 litre tank, and sunroof delete. Almost bought it.

I've got mine and Greg H has one in the Bay area, I would guess fewer than a dozen made for US.

Mous3.

You are right, there was one for sale not too long ago.
I'm not sure but I believe Tim Holt (dealer) had it.

I remember it too, but can't help you at all.

I did call about the SY car, but the story seem fishy. Buy it, drive it 1500 miles home, and decide to sell it as soon as you get home? Although the seller was not marking up the price and seemed to have sold it within a few weeks.

There was a yellow one for sale by me about 2 years ago (and on ebay I think), with a tan interior and an after-market arm rest. Willhoit bought it for ~60 I think, and resold at a tidy profit. The color combo was hard for me to take.

I posted elsewhere a couple of months ago about a sunroof delete speed yellow one that was delivered to an old guy (65+) in San Diego that had a factory cage (or at least installed before delivery). Brand new and only had a few hundred miles on it when we crossed paths in Baker CA (home of the world's tallest thermometer!) getting gas. Guy was giddy about the car; his comments suggested he had some pull at the factory. Still wondering where it ended up!

Not sure if it's the same one your speaking of, but I made an offer on a blk/blk 97', sunroof delete about two years ago that Premier had for sale. Deal never came together and not sure where the car ended up.

Might be. Although my experience is that the cars with "sunroof delete" simply lacks the option code for "sunroof". Not more complicated than that.

I'm looking at a 96 silver car with lower miles but some issues. May make for a good project car
