Seems a very very good price for such low mileage.

Just sold by the previous owner for 57kish on ebay, and now resale by someone else for whatever. My undertanding is 66k miles, has had some paint, not many records. Engine was rebuilt and is good now. Used all oem parts, if I recall.

Just fyi - no affiliation or anything.

oops. See I need to buy one so I can frequent the boards more often. Plus I read 500 miles in the initial description instead of the 67k in the text. Glad I didn't pull the trigger.

This car was the car that was spoken about somewhere around 2-3 months ago and was owned by the guy who sold army surplus items on eBay. The car before it was taken to RUF was in pretty poor shape, one of the Rennlisters went and looked at it and said there was something really wrong with the car. Then it seems the car was sent to RUF where they have re-done the car and it was sold out to Tulsa. The Tulsa group dont have the warranty information nor the records for what was done to the car at this point.
Then, the car was actually sold by the Tulsa group about 3 weeks ago on eBay but something must have fallen through for it to show back up on eBay. I would be a little cautious with this one. It could be a nice purchase but it seems a little cheap coming from a dealer with a "completely" re-built TT engine. My .02.

That price is not the market. A no issues '96 with 67K would just bring around $60K in reasonable shape car. Then limit your market by installing JICs (good, but stiff and not a real street setup. Don't know who put these on, but however did is more track oriented) and a rebuild (how is someone in Cali going to get that warranted even if it is done bu RUF). OK, it has sport seats. But not much else. So they are asking $65K. Lucky to get $55K as I would be concerned on the turbos at this point, and a bunch of other stuff. Generally, leaking on turbos is not very common.

Bob, those were items that I was thinking about. With all the work done on the car and the lack of actually being able to use the warranty negates a lot of the value. Not to mention the history of the car is a little shady. But having said that, the car did meet its reserve a few weeks ago and sold for almost 65K. So I am not sure why it has showed back up on the market. Either way, I would be careful on this one.

There are a lot of people out there with a lot of money. Ebay is a great marketing tool. Show a bunch of pretty pics, throw in a few good words and you can sell anything. I have sold stuff that I thought I would get $50 for and wound up getting $800.

It met its reserve, but did not sell. There are always a number of reasons for this happening. One is that they wanted the car checked out and the seller would not let them or it did not pass. Don't know but I still think that $55K is generous compared to the others that I have seen sold in the past 12 months with no stories and good cars.

Wow Bob - I installed JIC's on your recommendation that they are very compliant for normal street driving as well as track use?????

JICs appeal to a little different buyer than say a PSS9. They are stiffer, and for many people perfectly streetable. For others, with the monoballs and all on them, they are too stiff. I know 993 owners that have taken off the PSS9s as they were too stiff. I have sold and installed lots of JICs, and for someone that is doing some track activities (or auto-xing) they are great. What I was saying was that these do not attract a person that is not doing any track (the way it states in the ad the car was never tracked) and are strictly doing street driving / cruising. I used "street" in terms of the way the ad was written for the car as a total pristine "street" car. Lots of people, myself included, use Motons on the street and LOVE THEM. Does that make any sense?

Rear looks real low as was the reserve. I cant believe the reserve was so low on such a low mileage TT.
