Mike,

What's more amazing for the original pad/clutch matter is that you live in San Francisco. Granted you drive lots of freeways, but SF is never a friendly place for brakes and clutches.

Along that vein, I have a 1992 Lexus SC300, 5 pseed, now 134k miles. original brakes/rotors with 60% left, so I know it can be done. My daughter drives it now and she blew out the clutch at 120k miles.

As for your original question. Please bear in mind that RUF is not just about more power. It is more about an enhanced balanced system (power, suspension, brakes, etc.) AND reliable performance. There's little doubt that bolt-on mods (as Steve suggested) can get you similar power for much lower cost. But can one actually put together a balanced system using multiple components and get the reliable performance of a RUF. That's is where RUF makes their mark: proven performance in the long run.

I am sold on RUF so please feel free to take what I say with a grain of salt.

And congratulations on the twins. I guess one turbo for each girl then.

Good luck.

Thanks for the input CP.

In addition to the twins, I have another daughter so guess I'll have to pick up at least one more turbo at some point

At this rate, the twins will be driving the twin.
