Yes, I have the RE wheels. I originally bought them for track driving for a 2005 40th Anniv 911 which I effectively traded for the 993TT which is what I really wanted when I go the 40th... long story for another thread ...

The offsets are not correct for the TT so I use Ruf 7mm spacers up front and 25mm H&R adaptors in the rear. I'd say the front's could go to 10/12mm and the rears could go to 30mm but I wanted to be conservative on the fitment and they do fit very well.

I love these wheels for their light weight and strength (they are forged) and relatively low price compared to multipiece forged wheels. I also like how they look because I don't much like deep rim lip wheels on a car with such a great variance between the front and rear (no lip in the font, huge lip in the rear).

I had some problems at first with the front spacers; the fronts wobbled at 58 to 60MPH as if they were out of balance. I finally figured it out; it was a build up of gunk on the hubs in the places where the stock wheels do not touch the hub; the spacers touch the entire surface of the hubs so both surfaces must be clean. Now I leave the spacers on all the time even for the stock Turbo Twist wheels.

I use the Ruf front spacers because they have the hub-centering "fingers". H&R 7mm spacers don't have them and there is very little of the hub's centering ring sticking out past 7mm spacers.

I also have longer front wheel studs to accomodate the 7mm spacers.

This picture was taken without the front spacers:

Pete,
Thanks for the info. The rims look fantastic.
I believe however that these are not the ones I though they were, although they look exactly the same. The ones I am talking about are Magnesium one-piece wheels that cost around $7k if my memory serves me. They weigh 7kgs (14-15lbs). The car looks amazing with these wheels, great taste.

Correct, these are forged aluminum. They are about $3000 for a set and weigh 20.2lbs front and 22lbs rear.

These are hot! http://www.tcklineracing.com/wheels1.htm (scroll down to the Magnesium wheels)!

Seems these and the above wheels are for BMW E46 M3's... I haven't seen fitments for our cars.

20-22lbs is still great, and more solid in forged aluminum, great choice.
