Default Turbos K27/K27

Searching through cargraphics homepage, I stumble on a Turbo called:
Part No. CARP93K27K27
Turbo Charger EVO II
P93 850HP

First of all, this is a Turbo not part of what they used to have (it's no included in their printed catalog nor .pdf), so I believe it's fairly new in their sortiment.

The name makes me think of KKK K27 Turbo, and that's usually the 930-land for me or GT2 EVO. (Perhaps Ruf?)

Anyway, anyone knows this Turbo and has experience with it? I'm having a hard time believing K27's would be a good choice for a TT especially a road going car. But feel free to slap me on my fingers, I have not driven a TT with those, so I dont know.

The K27's were used on GT2 Race cars along with GT1's.. There is no physical way that one could mount them without re-doing your exhaust. Let alone the custom programming that it would take.

As Kevin mentioned, these were used in some of the racing EVO engines, some others had K26 and K24/26. A car fitted with twin K27s cannot be practically driven on the street. New turbo technology ala what Kevin builds can improve response at the low end, but I still do not think it is the right choice. PSI Motorsport still build (until 2 years ago at least) 993TT high performance engines with K27s as do some other builders, and they will clearly steer you out of it, for any form of street driven car.

Ah, well that pretty much explains it. Redoing the exhaust isn't necesarry such a bad thing. However, I can imagine the powerband must be a nightmare for a street car! Feels a bit odd that Cargraphic are selling such a thing of the shelf.

I'd like to see the low end torque numbers for a K27 tt, can you say laggggg.
I know from an ahem... recent enquiry that RS use a K26 turbo when using the EVO Secan I/C which requires new headers and obviously external wastegate - this is to get to 640PS on a 3.8 engine.

Your RS inquiries always turn out to be very expensive for you...
The RS GT2 EVO I recently saw at Manthey had K26s as well.
