why dont you go on the road run the car on WOT and see which one still runs after 20 min?
for 30 sec every car last. The question is for how long and how many miles?
You get what you pay for except if the tuner is your friend ;-)

My car has in the last twelve month covered 4000 track miles. This has included 4 trips to the 'ring including one day earlier in the year when the temperature was in the mid 90's. I usually do between 3 and 5 consecutive laps.
The car has done numerous UK track days, two days at Spa and the afore mentioned 'ring trips. It has run without fault, using only a small amount of oil.
I would think this is a good indicator of it's reliability.
I did not suggest Dyno runs of a few seconds were any indicator of reliability!

Jean,
If you can arrange to meetup and travel into the event in a car with someone going then you are very welcome. (Though we have not arranged a date yet).
The reason for the limit on spectators is twofold:
1. The venue is a high security (24hr guarded gatehouse) ex military airfield, now used mainly for car storage and industry vehicle testing. Entrance on the main runway for testing (used by many UK manufacturers and race teams) is charged at £50 per hour per car.
2. The prospect of seeing 5 or more genuine 993 GT2s obviously raised a flurry of responses from other Porsche enthusiasts wishing to see such rare cars used in anger. Without immediately clamping down, I would have literally received hundreds of requests from people to spectate, which was not what the event was designed for and which the airfield owners dislike.
I am not trying to determine power of cars, ie this is not a pretend dyno, but more to make a comparison between cars, to see which are the fastest - I will datalog all cars complete performance range and produce a number of stats, but will probably concentrate on 50mph-150mph type ranges as the best indication of overall performance, which removes the need to launch the cars hard for the low speeds (which are in reality irrelevent as no-one does this in real life).

Thank you for your offer, I was curious why it was such a limited attendance but it all makes sense following your and Clubsport explanation. I appreciate you chiming in here, and good to see you are a Rennlister too.
Depending when it happens and will be more than happy to attend, I would not mind flying to the UK to watch an event like this.
Cheers, and please post your 60-130mph in your cars over here on the 60-130 thread.
Thanks
p.s. Congratulations on your newborn!

This seems to be dragging on a bit, people (understandably) are busy and getting a firm date appears to be difficult.
In the interim, I would like to send RS Clubsport my AX22 to do a few runs 60-130mph
I'm contemplating spending more outrageous sums with RS and could do with proving (to myself) that I am not throwing it away and the answer (9M) is less than 6miles from my house
How 'bout it RS, can you or one of your partners in (9M) crime do a run for me ?
