I had the oil filters replaced last week as part of the 100,000 km service. Fired the beast up yesterday only to discover that the dreaded "start up smoking" has reared its ugly head. My mechanic used new standard Porsche filters, not Mahle, so he is disappointed as this means more work for him. To help him out, can anyone point me in the direction of the latest aprt number for these filters, just in case Porsche delivered the older type.
Thanks in advance

Porsche will upgrade the oil filter without changing the part number. So, you could have a old stock oil filter. This was common a few years ago with dealers that had old stock on there shelves. You could fly some filters in from Germany or the States..

Thanks Guys
We are ordering the parts today. The problem seems to vary depending on the time the car has sat, although this is not always an indicator. Sometimes it just blows for the sake of it. If I dont get it sorted, the EPA and Greenpeace will have my guts for garters.
