I thought it was apples to oranges so that's why I deleted and sent it to you. I am familiar with the max out effect and limitations without twin plug and rods. I just didn't see how they make those claims when they seem to be against every other kit. The only thought is that they do crank the hell out of the boost and mabye run 100 octane to get those number/and or use a different drivetrain loss calculation. I will do a search as my father is board ignorant, so I do all the research and work- pss9's 996tt wheels ps2, ruf oil kit, ( I did the group buy on that).

Thanks Kevin.

Hi Robert,

I don't really consider the stock turbos to have any lag but the new turbos feel as responsive as stock with the exception that I have what can be best described as explosive power output once the boost swings past 1 bar. Stock the power levels off or feels flat in the high end where my new setup pulls hard and fast as it rushes to redline, next thing you know it is time to upshift into the next gear.

I am getting a slightly more then 1.2bar when running 100 octance race gas on mild days. This is my second set of turbos from Kevin and these new ones are good enough that I am completely happy with the power output and am content.

I've had a few emails asking if the previous "special" was still valid. It still is...

Rich, I have been selling these kits since I released the kit. If the turbochargers get damaged in shipment they will be replaced. Yes, I can program for the '96 & '96 dual chip ECU. I posted a recent thread about that topic.

Kevin, what's the deal if I have a '97 ecu? Your original post mentions only the '96 ecu.

R993, there is no problem with the '97 ECU.. It is tuneable. The catch is that the '95 & '96 ECU did not have a viable tuning option. It now does. Previously one would have to purchase a '97 ECU to get programming.
