hi guys,
"shk fahrzeugtechnik" installed my taller 6th gear this weekend and i talked to them about mods.
he suggested the standard with K16/24 rebuilds, ECU, oil cooler, perhaps race cats and thats it.
price was reasonable.
i asked if i can expect like 480ps from that and he said no problem, likely more.
i doubt a bit that it is significantly more than 480ps without better cam and without engine tuned ecu.
they had some track porsches in the shop, like 996 gt3 and a weird 993 that said 993 gt on it. had the gt2 arches and rear wing.
for like an additional 2k euros i could get the "small" stage from rs-tuning where i know it is a perfect package.
an alternative would be the stage 1 zc from kevin and the shk guys making the rest of the package?
what do you think?
i dont want to save on the wrong things here and would rather wait another year to save some more money.
girlfriend was not too enthusiastic about selling the sl500 for the rs-tuning mod

thanks rassel, i'll give it a try. (the girlfriend-sensitive thing, i mean)
dont really know what are my goals with the turbo. just had my first track day. but i like it even more to drive top-speed on the autobahn for long periods of time. so i need more low-end and also more top-end power![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
just talked to shk about understeer with the turbo and installing my rs rear-sway bar.
he said ironicaly with the turbo you need a stiffer front bar from the rs to prevent dive-in.
for the rear i would need an gt2 bar, because the rs-bar had only 18mm.
is that true? he said he did a lot of turbos and all of them got rid of understeer.

gear is 0.7 vs. 0.735 stock i think.
~ 5%. question is if the engine has enough power. i should be more in the peak-power rpm band though with the taller gear. i will see...

The 652hp @7050rpm (on a rolling road) SHK GT2 was in fact a '96 Carrera RS with GT2 body mods and the turbo 4 all wheel drive transmission which weighed in at 1270kg - It was nicknamed "Black Snake" and featured Turbo-Tapp turbos, polished ports, reprofiled valves and new cams, Cargraphic I/C and cats and exhaust and the ECU was done by Sportec (or whoever worked for them back then)
The engine was red lined at 7850rpm and gave 812NM @4950rpm it did 0-100kph in 3.5s and 0-200kph in 9.0s with a top speed of 342kph - All this infor is from 911 & Porsche World April 2000.
All sounds good doesn't it ?
Well according to a reliable source (PM me if you want details Stummel) the engine reffered to above was removed and an RS Tuning 520hp engine (of the period) was put in as the owner tried an RS equipped 993tt and much preffered the experience.

Jean, i think that 5% of 300kph is like 15kph.
But the question is if the stock engine has enough power to reach the same RPM.
I dont know if they meant nose diving.
i guess they meant the movement that you also want to prevent by installing a strut brace.
i dont know the word for that... (the point where the struts mount???)
as always, TB made me think again... you get what you pay for
Thank you guys
