Have they triggered a CEL for anyone?

Only got the CEL when one cat was on the way out, two new ones and 10k miles later no problems.

The 100 cell racing cats normally wont cause the CEL problem. They are a flow through design and dont have the honeycomb material. Most likely your O2 sensor was either damaged during install or it is just time for it to be replaced.

High sulfur content in the fuel can cause O2 sensors to go bad (at least that's what I was told when I had to replace BANK 1 twice).

Anyone know if you'll pass California emissions w/the 100 cell cats?

Thanks,

Thanks for the response everyone. I have a set of 100 cell cats sitting in my garage and I will do the swap in the next couple of days. I just wanted to know what to expect.

adsc4s - what kind of exhaust are you running? Woodster and I both think the RSR's on his car are too loud but he does have 100 cell cats. Wondering how much quieter they'd be with stock cats.

Doug, I am running stock cats with GHL muffler bypasses right now. It is loud. If you and Woodster think the 100 cell cat/RSR is too loud, my neighbors may be in for a shock with my 100 cell cat/muffler bypasses.

Anyone have a set of RSR's for a TT they want to get rid of?

Do you have a picture of the GHL bypasses installed on your TT?

Theres a thread in the 993 forum where they are talking about modifying stock mufflers for the "right" sound.

I'll take a picture of the bypasses but they are just a little bit of fancy piping.
