Did you look at the pics of the 97? It is beautiful. In the $60's this is your car. How much can be wrong? 10 grand can fix a lot. If you have known the seller for 18 years what's the deal? Is he leaving town? Do the deal.

I am truly torn between the two cars, I love the rims on the 96 and it is a low mileage one owner car and if I decide to get a 996TT in a couple years I think the 96TT will retain its value better than the 97TT. The owner is in no hurry to sell either car I have plenty of time to choose.
I will post the pics Thur.

I dont blame you if the carfax is inconsistant for being hesitant on the purchase....The car is less $$ now and will be less $$ when you sell it...It will also, IMHO be more difficult to sell. Most people buying a car like this dont want any stories. ..I know I dont. Sixty something thousand is still alot of money in my book...and i want a clean car and a clean carfax. Everyone uses carfax these days
Either way, good luck.

Ok either way if you want a 993TT you have two nice example to choose from. I think the 70's on these cars is a little tall though. Good luck.
