Default CGT DREAM COME TRUE...

Over the weekend I had the distinct pleasure of spending
180 miles in the passenger seat of a 2005 Carrera GT! Friday afternoon
was overcast and the tops were on. Sunday morning was sunny and tops
were off! My impressions: visually every single part on the car is a piece of
art, (including briefcase in matching interior color leather and wood handle
to match the wood gear shift ****). Sound!!!!!!!!! the best thing you have
ever heard, the induction sound combined with the exhaust sound between
2000-4200 rpm is glorious. the factory imposed 4200 rpm redline is some
what torture for the first 1000 miles, but keep in mind this "little V-10"
puts out more torque at 2000 rpm than the gt3 does at peak torque!!!!
The car feels like it is on rails compared to a 911 series car, at 120 mph
it is flat and solid, unbelievable. by the way the clutch is easier than my
viper bob clutch because engine management tips the throttle as long
as you do not touch the go pedal. It obviously turns heads wherever you
go and yes I had an opportunity to drive it but I turned it down (for now),
as I am fortunate enough to see the car regularily. this is without question
the greatest sports car in the world! just imagine, 0-124 mph in 9.9 seconds.
sorry for the rambbling but I thought i would share!

Great story! Do you have any pictures?

I have yet to see a CGT in the flesh myself.

Thanks

Martyn.

There are 2 CGT here in Singapore at the Porsche dealer. I think they are going for export. Both silver in colour. I heard the mechanics the other day trn on the engines and damn they sounded like superbikes.

Yet another example of the maxim that just because you can afford a supercar doesn't mean you can drive one.
