Well, I do drive all of my cars under all weather conditions. This year, it rained more than twice in southern California than it did in Seattle. Other years, it rains enough times for us to have proper tires.

They told me otherwise as far a 225's being available. As far as mounting, your point is well taken and valid but they did my Lexus which has ATP custom wheels on it, and my neighbor has a SL500 and he didn't have any problem. Certain guy I delt with before that took some special care.

I wish we had a sticky with the tire sizes and fitments, and/or past reccomendations. This is at times confusing..........

Default Pirelli P-Zero Asim or S-O2As?

Dear Lord Viken, Keep of the Truth,

Plan on doing a few autocrosses and DE events in the next few months and the car's my daily driver out in Cambridge, MA...would you select the Pirelli P-Zero Asimmetrico (NOT Rosso) or the S-02A? (Sounds like you prefer the SO2-As).

Also, what makes the SO2-As better than the SO2?

Thanks, Viken!

Click here for P-Zero Asimmetrico comments. Assuming you can only get N3, I would prefer the S-02A's.

The S-02A's grip better, are quieter and last longer. What more do you want?

Yes, there is a non-N-spec 225/40-18 but there is no 285/30-18 at all.

Would you consider that tire in the front and 295's in the rear if they cannot get them in 285's. Total w/them (costco) was $1044.

I have to check again b/c they stated they were N1's.

I have kinda narrowed it down between them and BFG TA/KDs

Thanks for your info Viken, come to Heartland Park next year for the Run-offs and the steak is on me....

It would not be my first choice as 70 mm front to rear difference is a bit too much. If anything, I'd get the 235/40 to go with the 295/30.

That's a great tire too. But, you need to be a tiny bit more carefull in the wet.

You're welcome and thanks for the offer.

and not a real noticeable difference in the appearance of the car other than 10cm wider tires on the corners. I assume you were using the stock twists.

TIA
