Default ECU Number

Hello

I have a 993TT with an ECU number:

0261.203.758 (Porsche number 993.618.601.00)

Does anyone know if this is re-mappable or not?

Thanks for your help

Steven the p-doctor, I have been told by Brian at FVD Usa that they can take our 1996
ECU and "program it" (I believe they send all of them to FVD germany). Also doesn't
seege or k-24 madness (someone out that way) had todd at protomotive do a 96 ecu.
speak up whoever you are!!!

Marty,
Not sure on the other companies. I just keep tabs on what we can offer our customers. As far as I have always been told the 2 chip is a one write setup. I have been wrong before so if someone knows please feel free to correct me.

even the 96 ECU can be tuned.
You just need someone who knows how and what to do.
The later one can be reprogramed much easier

Kon, that was my understanding also, FVD told me specifically that they can do it. Call them
and call Todd @ Protomotive. Someone here has A 96 ecu and protomotive software, who
is it??? please advise. (I have 96 ecu for sale--see rennlist classifieds)

Seege had Protomotive do his ECU and Gunter can reprogram the 96 as well. Not sure what value a 96 ECU would have as everyone with a 97 won't need it and and everyone with a 96 already has one? BTW, I have a 96 ECU gathering dust in the garage as well!

Addison I just realized you're not on The Rumble list. To quote our friend CJ, "Dude, what's up?"

JR, I had been secretly anticipating joining the Rumble but found out that my older son is playing in a basketball tourney that weekend, Fri-Sun. It's that much more difficult as I am the coach! Have fun and be safe.
