Anyone have/heard Cargraphic sport mufflers on a TT?
I bent one of my mufflers and i need a new one.
So, im deciding between doing an RSR on stock mufflers, or, getting an aftermarket muffler. Unfortunately bypass pipes are not an option for me in nyc.
I want a nice sound and the right amount of backpressure, but dont want the interior to sound like a motorboat.
What aftermarket mufflers should i consider? Do u like cargraphic, or dansk, or ??? how does it compare to RSR?
thanks

Rob,
I have RSR mufflers on my TT and I love it. I had FS bypasses and you're right it doesn sound like a motor boat at cold starts. The RSRs to me is a deeper, less raspy and a tad bit quieter than the FS. Too bad you can't listen to them as I am in Sunny So. Cal
I think there was a member who bought cargrahphics for his TT. His RL name is Albert and I believe he is in Hong Kong. Please search.
Good Luck

Rob, as you know, I have them and love them. They sound even better with the 100 cell cats. If I can figure out a way to host/post a short video with sound(3MB or so), I might get my wife to take a quick movie of the car on start up and then on acceleration using our digital camera.

Rob.
I have cargrahphics mufflers on my TT. The sound is deeper below 4,000rpm, once you open full throttle the sound becomes wooorrrrrr. Because I also have cat bypass so i guess it's louder than if you only do the mufflers. A friend of mine has BB mufflers and is a lot louder than the cargrahphics.
P.S I can now here the sound of the turbo spinning as well.

I completely agree with ALbert's evaluation above thought I have stock cats. Loud at start up in the AM, but warm and full without being "noisy" once moving.
I was behind a uncorked P-car on the straight-away at WSIR last weekend, and I couldn't even hear my engine. I actually had to look at my tac to shift (the horror!).
John H., Is there noticable gains with the 100 cell cats?

Cargraghics or GHL have a deep non sewing machine idle. Love them both, have installed both on 993tt's. I'm a dealer for both and customer service and warranty is excellent as well.

what are the best tips to fit on the cargraphic?
Is there a good aftermarket tip that is closest to a large chrome oval tip?
who is the supplier?
