One clean TT
Hey guys, just wanted to share some photos of my hard work with you all. I spent about 10 hours this past weekend detailing my olde mans 1997 993TT (triple black). Started with a basic wash, clay bar, 3M SMR, Klasse AIO, and Soverign Carnuba. The 3M and Klasse were both applied with an orbital buffer. This is my first try with black. While its a pretty unforgiving color, I think the results speak for themselves.
Like looking into a pool of water... talk about some depth.

Sloth,
You realize how inappropriate your sceen name is? That is a beautiful job on that fantastic looking car. Fikse wheels, no bumperettes, S ducts and clear markers... all the right stuff. Great job.

Thanks for the kind words guys. It has been lowered with Eiback springs, but the shocks are still original. Needless to say they are ready for replacement. I compiled a list of upgrades for my olde man... PSS9's, billet DV's, additional oil cooler, and exhaust to go along with the FVD Motronic.
Hope you all don't mind, but some more pix for good measure.
A classic and a future classic.
I just love the shape of the rear fenders...

Hey John. The AIO/carnuba combo is perfect IMO... long lasting protection of Klasse with a deep wet carnuba look. I let the AIO cure overnight before layering on the carnuba.

I wished I owned both. The TT is my fathers. He sent it down to me from the snowy north to hold till his Florida home is completed.
Having driven them both they are truley different vehicles and comparing the two is the same as asking the usual 993 vs 996 questions. They both have their strengths and weaknesses and it would really be up to the individual as to which is better. I tend to be an NA guy and I love the instant throttle responce, high revving nature, and nimbleness of the GT3. The TT is a lot more luxurious in comparison and it makes you wait a second for the real fun to begin... but talk about a mountain of torque. They are both awesome and it was nice having to choose between the two.

Hey Sloth, you have done such a great job on the "ole mans" tt if you have a extra weekend to spare come on up here and do mine. I'm not an ole man yet but for that type of result you can call me an old bastard.
Seriously, it looks great but what the heck a Klasse ?
