Hi there,
I've the standard 18" Turbo Technology Hollow spokes. The two rear wheels are bent and cause the car to vibrate above a certain speed. You can't see they are bent unless the wheels is on a balancing machine or the like.
Someone I know says that there is a place he can get them fixed. I asked a good friend who is also dealer and he confirmed that there is one place that does fix these wheels - is that possible? Can these wheels be fixed?
Has anyone had the technology wheels fixed before?
Any thoughts would be greately appreciated.
Kind regards,
Ziad

Ziad:
Sounds like you could get yours fixed as they don't seem to be bent too bad.
I recently had a set of Hollow Spokes fixed where 3 of the 4 wheels were bent about 5/16 of an inch and one rim lipped badly marred. After repair, they are true to better than 1/32 of an inch and the rim lip is completely smooth. Cost me about $75 USD per wheel, not including repaint.

Ziad, be careful where you take them, many people around here consider themselves experts. In principle it should not be difficult, but make sure you personnally see they are well balanced on the machine when they finish, and then test drive before paying.
Good luck.

Jim and hchan - thanks for your replies.
Jean,
Cheers for that... I won't get a chance to the see the wheels until the person I know brings them back (from Kuwait)... you know what, you are right, this is a high performance, +280km/h car, I'm sure they can be fixed, but I don't know anyone who's tried this place - I don't think I will cut corners on this one.... Jim, quality control in this neck of the woods has not evolved as it has in the US... So if I was in the US, I would look at the option you tried. Looks like the suspension upgrade will just have to wait.
Many thanks & hopefully see you next Friday (this time I will be filming)!!!

They are the onlyplace I know of that will fix the bent rim w/o heat. I sent them my rear hollow spoke Turbo Twist wheels off my 993TT to get them super true. They straighten them with jigs to .010-.020" true, better than factory spec .030". They will repaint too. They are super busy so it will take a week or two and month if you want a refin. They have been around doing Porsche wheels for 40 years and do not have a website or email. You can find there add in Excellence magazine.
