Moving on up- 993TT bought
Hi all
Thought I would say hello from sunny Western Australia, and let you know that another TT is about to join the fold. I have purchased a 97 Guards Red TT with 91,000 kms. Sports seats, carbon interior bits, Litronic headlights, silver dials. Otherwise dead standard, and absolutely gorgeous. A locally delivered car that I have coveted since I first saw it new. Can't really believe that I have got my hands on it at last. I know the previous owner well, and it has an interesting history in that it did 75,000kms in its first eighteen months, and then has been squirrelled away, doing very little each year. The owner has bought three red 911's over the years and each has done huge country mileage (600,000+ in the 964 Carrera 4!). This one escaped the routine early on when his life changed.
I will use the 993 in the odd event, mainly autokanas and hillclimbs but really it will be an everyday car, and I will try not to stress about using it, because otherwise I wont have the time to enjoy it.
This is my fourth 911 and I hope I have now nailed it, having had a 1992 Carrera RS Lightweight, a 1997 Carrera 2S, and a 1969 E RS Replica, in that order. I would love to hang on to the RS Replica but we will see how we go. I remember as a much younger man thinking that if I ever got to own a Porsche I would be lucky. Little did I know then just how lucky, with the car that even my Porsche mechanic thinks is the zenith of all things Porsche.

Congrats on the new purchase and welcome to the board. I also couldnt believe I finally landed the Porsche that I coveted so much and I still do pinch myself occasionally when taking her for a drive

Simon,
It's a funny thing, but when I read about the TT here on the board, there seems to be so many satisfied owners/users. And this is in comparing to other Porsche owners. I hope you will enjoy your car just as much as the rest of us.
It would be really nice to see some pictures of your car. I hope you can get your hands on a digital camera and share your joy with us. To me a new TT owners showing their pride, make me just as happy since I did the same decision as they did
If you're able to, it would be nice with some west australian motive in the background. Think that would be awesome!
Put I presume, you dont really have to spending pictures, now when you got a new ride...

Thanks for the welcome, guys. I am collecting the TT later this week after the servicing is completed, and will get some shots posted asap. I notice you seem to list everything you drive so here goes. This eclectic lot should confuse the psychologists out there.

1997 Porsche 993 Turbo. The new uber bruiser.
Cars 1,2,and 3 are all on the market now to pay for car 6. And so it goes.
