I was thinking of selling mine but everytime I go into the garage I say what was I thinking!! I paid
72 for mine sunk $20K into it and was gonna ask $75 and maybe go a little lower. It has
45K miles but is immaculate and setup the way a Rennlister would like, as you can tell from my sig line. I think I may keep it and go with Kevins Stage II turbo set up. I dont know -600HP sounds better than a GT3 I think. But yes if youre really patient and look around you should be able to do as Canysmc said but it may take a year or so. then what do the prices do and what kind of condition is it in? I would rather buy a known car off this board -but that is me.
well I guess I will jump into that mode now then.... probably will take a lot of time. i paid $55k for my 98 C2S w/ 28k miles on it at purchase...all bone stock original, from original owner. i have easily spent $5k+ on it since then for various things -- 30k service, new tires, etc. Knowing that there was a 993 tt with similar mileage out there for about $60k is something that i would not have expected.... good to know. i love my car....only car i would love more is a tt version of it :-)

jonathan - just enjoy your beautiful c2s!!! i love my tt, but in many ways my old c2 was more fun on the street - ive posted this before.. enjoy the 2-wd which is very responsive and the car is more than fast enough for the street. I do miss feeling the car work and the sound of the varioram. The tt is very quiet and you dont feel the car put out any effort.

Hi Tom how do you like your TT compared to your NSX you had? I don't think weve spoken since you were still looking for one anyway I hope you are enjoying it. Doug

Doug,
I called on the car the first day it was available (but wasn't quite ready to spend that much, looking for a C2). It is not a CO car but one that came from Florida as you probably know. It has not been tracked, at least not here. The car is at Murray Motors in Denver, not Boulder but they may be servicing in Boulder if it's at Stammler. Hope the car works out well for you.

I do miss the NSX, but this tt runs like a scalded cat and I can hardly wait to get it on the track.

OffTopic: You should compare your experience w/the 355 against a TT. Others might be interested if you started a thread with that topic.

I considered a 355 as a replacement to the NSX but went this route w/o regrets. I pat myself on the back for that. Now if I can figure out how to add garage space, I'm seeing a 360 in the future!

Doug you should post the reasons if they're relevant to the car itself.
If they're personal, then it's another matter...

The reason I passed on the car is whine in 1st gear, leak down #s ranged from 5 to 12% no books, records or reciepts, tools, spare tire etc. and my gut just told me to pass on this car Doug

Doug - glad you went with your gut. You'll find the right car with less short and long term potential downsides... Waiting is a bitch though..

Sorry Doug, I know you invested a lot of time and energy into that car. I was hoping it would come out clean, but I'm glad you honored your instincts. Along with the items you listed above, that mileage thing really bothered me.
There's a lot on the market, you'll find what you're looking for.....

Doug:

Good call....excellent show of willpower. I passed on 3 or 4 before I found mine with 7k miles and in mint condition for 75k. Probably could have found one cheaper but not better. Harry
