those options are fine.. more than my car has. i dont think the option list for TT's gets that long, unless someone went crazy on the interior as in Dr.Ken's car.
may i ask, why did u sell your tt if you are buying another??

Rob I had a momentary lapse of sanity and sold my TT. Foster the guy I sold my TT to in Boulder CO. took a look at the car yesterday and said its a very nice, car mech wont get to the comp/leakdown till Monday but he did tell me he noticed a whine in 1st gear and will check that further. What would it cost for a transmission rebuild? also with different turbos and ecu will the car pass smog in states like CA.? Thanks everyone Doug

Hi Tripp they will be doing the comp/leakdown today they were supposed to do it Fri. then it was put off till Mon. now its supposed to be done today as well as a comprehensive check of the gear box, LSD, cv joints, wheel bearings etc. The guy that bought my last 96 TT from me went and looked at it Fri. for me and gave it the thumbs up cometicly. I'll let everyone know what happens as soon as I know Doug

Buying advice
I'm thinking of buying a LHD 993 TT for touring Europe. It will do high miles.
I've seen a couple of good cars in my price range with around 40-60,000 miles on them.
What kind of maintenance/service costs can I expect around this sort of mileage? Money's not really a problem but I don't like surprises.
What's the life expectancy of a 993 TT engine and mechanicals?
Thanks
Max

Sully yes Dougs deal was a great price. You can luck into one like Canysmc but if you buy one from someone
like Me, I was thinking of selling mine for a GT3, then you would have to pay in the prices you saw.
I was thinking of selling mine but everytime I go into the garage I say what was I thinking!! I paid
72 for mine sunk $20K into it and was gonna ask $75 and maybe go a little lower. It has
45K miles but is immaculate and setup the way a Rennlister would like, as you can tell from my sig line. I think I may keep it and go with Kevins Stage II turbo set up. I dont know -600HP sounds better than a GT3 I think. But yes if youre really patient and look around you should be able to do as Canysmc said but it may take a year or so. then what do the prices do and what kind of condition is it in? I would rather buy a known car off this board -but that is me.

I don't know much about it yet except that it's a one owner with K24 turbos, and the mechanic at the Porsche dealership that is doing the svc. said it's very nice and he would buy it himself, the mechanic isnt affiliated with the car as its not being sold by his dealership. I thought the price was fair at 59k delivered to my door, the mechanic is going to email me the codes so I can decode them to see what options it has, anyway keep your fingers crossed for me that everything checks out OK on this car and the deal goes through. Doug
You beat me to that Car by ONE DAY...DAMN IT!
And it would have been cheaper for the dealer, I am closer than you are. I called and the guy said..A fellow in CA. bought the car....Congrats!
Thats a great price.
