Question Boost reading?

I was curious to know what does the boost reading max out on the OBC for the 993 turbos? The 964 unit looks similar but does not read above .7 bar. I do not want to modify the car and add an aftermarket gauge which I know would probably be more accurate. So I was thinking about swapping out my Tach for a 95-98 unit if they read above 1.0 bar and the wiring harness is compatable. Anyone have knowledge about this?

The jist of your question is answered by saying it is the same.. .8 bar max reading.. So for you and other 993 owners, on can purchase the VDO boost gauge that fits in the clock opening. Take your clock out and re-attach the harness to your clock behind the dash.. Wrap your clock with bubble wrap, and tie strap it to the harness connectors that are there.. Make sure that you undue you battery NEG side will do.. If you do not undue the battery you will trip the AIRBAG light..

I didn't think it would read much higher, but was worth a shot. I will look into the VDO unit.

Thanks
