Default selling my 993 turbo

I can't believe I'm actually doin this.......hopefully no one will buy it! This is obviously a "wife" thing, weather thing and practicalit,ect,ect,ect.....! Anyway i put lots of money in this thing so it is for sale for $69,000 absolutely firm!!! Even if you came w/ a suitcase full of money.....there better be 69,000 cash!!! Here are the facts: The car will have aprox 76,000 miles on it,I think I drove maybe 100 miles this year! (how pathetic is that)! I'm bringing it over to my teck for a thorough goin over oil change and dyno run to confirm horsepowe figures. It has never been tracked! This is what you get for $69000: Getty GT 2 body work, chipped, GT 2 turbos', 911RSR oil cooler (larger than that whimpy "s" cooler,2.5 halon ext, PSS9 suspension, fabspeed chrome tips, spare "hardly used" pagid blue pads, front camber plate kit, upper monoballs, cargrahic 993 strut bar, alternater repaced at 69,000 miles,w' all updates,993euro GT2 rear sway bar, 993 Euro RS fronts,RS short shift, new rotors and pads at 70,000 miles, euro race cats,no muffler, carbon fiber interior, black leathe, heated seats, lumbar support, head restraint w/ logos. You also get 2 sets of 996 turbo hollow spokes. With new michelin pilot sports, the spare set has pilot sport cup tires, also the original hollow spokes w/ porsche crest, and finally.....you also recieve the original wing, front spoiler, shocks, and B&B exhaust that came with the car and chrome tips, WHEW......!!The car has a couple of chips here and there but I doubt you will find a more "capable"car for the money. It definetley will not dissapoint. If i get the money, great, if I dont'..... thats great too,I'll just keep it!. The car is goin in to the shop the 21's so by the 27th (thats the only day I can go and get it) It will be available for sale.

Very Nice.... Bummer that you are going to sell it.. That is the soul mate to my car. I am sure that it will not last long on the market at that price...

Spectacular car with all the proper mods. Very, very reasonably priced. Let me check with my wife... hang on a minute. Nope, I can't have it. Darn.

At the risk of being a butthead, mods almost never add to the resale value of a car. That many miles will also scare many people. You may get your wish about keeping it.

911/Q45: I think he already knows that. He'll end up keeping his baby.

I guess, obviously the car will apeal only to those "motorheads" who "always" have to modify their cars. It is my opinion that most people who buy these cars do just that. I guess I'll find out!

For the guy that wants to drive it on the track a lot or just wants a more capable street car, it is a steal. I have seen numerous cars with less equipment and in worse shape go for similar money. And you forget all the spares he has with the car. I agree, 75% of the people would not look twice because of the mods but the other 25% will be wanting it BIG TIME...

I don't want to sound negative (i.e. a "butthead" ), either, but that's a lot of race mods for a car that has never been tracked. Did you do all that simply for the street?

BTW, I think the car looks great with the exterior changes.

tjnif993t,
I also like the car - but REALLY love the Turbo S brake ducts and lights!
Anyone know where to get em?

Well, I really thought that I would be tracking the car, I use to do it alot in the early 90's,but It seems I never have the time now......new buisness venture, divorced w/ 3 kids, but happily remarried 5 years ago, just thought I could make more time to enjoy the things I loved to do, guess its not the time now, just to much on the plate...

When I found my RUF, it had 97,000 miles on it. I didn't think twice, bought it full-price. There is NO way I will find another RUF BTR-2 again, regardless of mileage. The only alternative is to buy a low miles C2, ship it to RUF for all the BTR goodies, and then ship the car back. I calculated that I'd be talking $120k for the whole thing, plus a few hundred hours of my time. I have a wonderful wife, but she is not THAT understanding.

The fact is, if that's the car someone really wants, but wants a low mileage sample (say 30k miles limit). Chances are that he'd pay $75k+ for a low miles 993tt, then throw in another $30k+ for the mods/upgrades to this state. That's $105k+ vs $69k. Not to mention the time and effort to mod the car.

This car is not for every 993tt buyer, but for that someone who wants such a unique car, this is a bargain and a half. Granted it is not as rare as a RUF BTR, but it's really a very desireable car. Just for reference, the PO of my RUF started offering the RUF for sale in February 2003. I first saw the car on the internet in July 2003. I finally got the car here in December 2003. He got his full asking price, but it did take a while.

Just my two cents. Good luck with your sales.
