I've done straight pipes. It is loud but likely ok for the track. My car did lose power (on the dyno) with this set up.

If the muffler bypasses are not too loud, then any sort of mufflers are bound to be even quieter. I like the muffler bypasses... a little "sharp" at cold start, but then they quickly mellow out. They're (relatively) inexpensive, save a ton of weight, and allow better air flow to the turbos. While they're not quite as effective as cat-bypasses, they are:
a). a lot easier to put on,
b). a lot less expensive,
c). smog legal (do you care in Mo?).

muffler bypasses... the only way to fly.

Logically your right, any muffler should be muffled compared to bypasses. Supercups are really loud! Bob and I had this discussion recently and I'll let him explain it if he likes. As I cant
