When I put the car in reverse, the reverse lights dont usually come on. The previous owner told me that they were out, but thought it might be the bulbs. Recently, I finally got off my lazy butt to check it out and a friend of mine said that they came on for an instant and only faintly so. I checked the bulbs and they look fine. I am assuming there is a switch somewhere near the shifter or tranny that turns the light on. Anyone know where this switch might be located and if so, how hard it is to get into that area?

There is a reverse light switch on the tranny that I think originally came with the 914s. It is VERY simple to replace in a couple of minutes.....

Are you going to be at the shop on Sat? I'd like to stop by and check out those seats and learn how to replace the switch from a 914(?). Guess its better than a switch from a bug...
