Default Gear shifting problem??

I went to upshift into 4th over the weekend (at Gingerman Raceway) and I could not engage 4, 5, or 6th gear! I still can not engage those gears and now can not find 3rd + neutral! Any ideas?? Linkage?? Major problem?

Thanks,

Tim

Is your clutch ok? If not a problem there, I would check that the gear shift lever is not loose from below (under the car), if that is ok then maybe you have a problem with synchros, where you aggressive on the gears when it happened?

Don't take my words though, some guys on this board could guide you much better, they will chime in hopefully

Will be sending tranny to Brian Copan next week. Had someone look at the problem, it is internal.

Think new limited slip as long as he is there...... I just put in the Paul Guard unit, and it is VERY cool. Also some steel synchros for 3-5 should be in order. They are only like $150 each. 1-2 runs $1400 each, so you may want to stay away from these......

Good luck Tim.....

Tim, there are 3 guys I would use on this project. Chris Cervelli in Co., Brian Copan in Ohio and Jeff Gamroth in Portland. All have piles of experience with these g50 racebox applications. You may want to upgrage the 1-2 shiftfork while You are there also. The regear is great but depends on where You are headed with the car ultimately. Give me a call and we can talk in detail on each recommendation and why.
