Dear all
I have been offered a black on black April '98 993 Turbo S which has only been serviced by Porsche Hamburg and has done (wait for it) 100'000 miles.
It is black on black with red backs on the sports seats and red seatbelts.
Optically the car is stunning but I understood all Turbo S's to have a sunroof as standard. The dealer states that it was an option.
I looked at P-car.com but the VIn decoder didn't have a Turbo S option. If anyone in the know can advise me of the exact build details I would appreciate it. The VIN is: WPOZZZ99ZWS370585
Price-wise he's holding to $72'000 (€59'000) as he has interest from Spain and France.
Since these are rare cars I did expect some premium on a "normal" turbo and since the average-to-good 993TT is fetching about $64-67K anyway I felt a $5-8K premium for a well-cared for '98 model TT-S was worthwhile.
I know a lot of you are driving sub-20'000 milers but any advice on these points would be appreciated.
Regards
Mike

I would buy a lower mileage 450 hp std turbo. I saw the car you reference on offer but I don't care for the brakes, the inlets or the CF. Nor would I buy a car at that mileage if i could buy the same performance much cheaper. There are 70 - 90 kkm cars out here in lower €50s price range. There is one there that is an Turbo S lookalike for a good price if you are partial to the optical options an S carries....

i agree with the above. While the S looks cool, in general it is a ripoff (unless you want to collect them, which in this case a 100k car is no longer a collectable). I would find a lower miles, better condition normal TT and then modifiy to however you want.
