I use HRE 545R wheels, and love them. Apart from great look they are very light weight. Brushed center with clear coat and mirror finish outer lip with clear coat.
Regards.

Unless you have specific needs which require specific applications, there is only one wheel for the 993 turbo. That's the factory hollow spoke Turbo I wheel. It's high quality and lightweight enough for most of us mortals.
However, if you have to have an aftermarket wheel, nothing comes close to the beauty and quality of the BBS LM. No matter where you throw this wheel, it looks at home and makes any car look better.
I think the HRE's look awesome, but the weight figures I have seen for them vs many other wheels including the 993/996 TT wheels made me opt for something else. If you're looking for show, its hard to beat the HRE's but a lightwheel it is not.

I agree to some extend, however the new 545R series offer a much lighter weight, and in judging to the OEM Porsche wheels, it is night and day difference.
Why not go for the 18" hollow spokes from the 996 Turbo? It fills out the wheelwells great and they are slightly wider *and* they are inexpensive to boot:
