Yeah Willhoit bids on Premier's cars and vice versa prob to get some action on the ebay listing or set a min price etc. I don't think its anything devious. Anyway, Willhoit's a good guy and relatively straight shooter. He delivered a '88 slant nose to my father and it is to this day the cleanest pre-owned car that I've ever seen.

Friend of mine bought a car through them and told me they were pretty straight and he felt they treated him fairly. I have followed alot of ebay stoff over the past few months and they bid on alot of Porsche cars, even from other dealers. I would say Premier/Willhiot and RPM are the most active I have seen in the central US when it comes to the Porsche marque.

A friend of mine sold a car (993) to Willhoit for 49K. Willhoit turned around and priced the car for sale for 59K.

I spoke to Wilhoit at one point and he didnt hide the fact that they basically share the inventory with Premier and are essentially located right next to each other. He ended up buying a '97 993TT from a guy in chicago who was asking ~71k and he turned around and asked 83k for it. I'm not sure what he ended up selling it for, but he seemed to pretty straight up. I would keep looking for a private party, unless you see a really great example with the entire paper trail. By paying a high premium you should have no doubts as to the history and quality of the car.

Willhoit is a straight shooter. He is a small businessman trying to make a buck. All of of his cars are as represented, although maybe above average on price. But then again, he may have to hold them for a while, so who knows his true cost/profit. have purchased two cars from him and sold one back. Just my opinion.
