Default Valve cover gasket replacement?

I need to replace the valve cover gasket on my 993 tt, can this be done without removing the turbo? Is there a DIY description on how to do this on a TT ? What new parts will I need besides the gasket?

Thanks,

Tim

Good Q as I've considered doing the same replacement. What are the reasons that you want to replace it?

I can see what looks like a little bit of oil seepage from the gasket but I have zero performance issues and negligable change in oil level over serveral thousand miles.

It does not leak that much, but I can smell the oil burning on the manifold. The gasket is only $28.00 and it does not seem that hard to get at??

You will have to remove your turbochargers, why, because you have a heat shield that is covering the lower valve cover, I'd suggest that you also check your chain housing cover, also. This is a spot that alway causes grief for garage slabs...

Thanks Kevin for the reply. Then if I have to remove the turbos, then I will just have to get the hybrid upgrade while I'm at it. What is the turn around time, I here you are backed up? Which is good for you, means your getting lots of buiness.
