Default How do I "fix" the warning buzzer?

I would assume that the warning buzzer in my car was disconnected as I ended up leaving my lights on this morning. I know people disconnected it because it would go off with any warning from the car. How do I fix this?

The previous owner probably did what I did. I reached in from the truck compartment (drivers side corner) and pulled the buzzer/relay out of its socket.

I've also heard you can get at it from the interior, by removing the fuel gauge.

That buzzer is annoying.
I pulled it out.
It looks like a tall relay and it is behind the gauges, close to the side of the car.
To avoid a dead battery, it's easier to get a battery protector (a small box that clamps onto the battery post and the normal negative terminal connects to it. The device limits battery drain to a very small amperage load once it detects the battery is fading -- this keeps enough energy in the battery to restart the engine.

And you don't have to listen to the buzzer every time you start the car with a door open or whatever.

Cheers,
